Become a masterchef!!!

Today, we are going to learn how to be a very good chef.
This activities are for nine or ten year-old children.
First of all, we have to know which is our favourite dish. Then we will watch a video to see another little cookers. Then, we are going to name each food. At the end, we are going to make a worksheet to check our knowledges.

Speaking and writing

Learners work in pairs or small groups. They choose two foods (but
not meat or fish) and write sentences about each of them.
Write up the following sentences on the board for them to copy and
complete:
You find this food (e.g. on trees …).
This food is (e.g. red …).
We eat it (hot/cold).
You (don’t cook/cook) it.
People eat this for (e.g. lunch).
Two groups join together. One of them reads out their sentences.
The other group has to name the food.

  • Another activity is to ask children about their favourite food?

What’s your favourite food?
Where can you find this food?
How do you eat it? (hot/cold)
Is it cooked?
When do you eat it?
