Flipped classroom

The flipped classroom describes a reversal of traditional teaching where students gain first exposure to new material outside of class, usually via reading or lecture videos, and then class time is used to do the harder work of assimilating that knowledge through strategies such as problem-solving, discussion or debates. (Vanderbilt University, Center for Teaching).

There are differences between the flipped classroom and the traditional model.

The flipped classroom implies working, before the class pupils have to watch videos/pictures to prepare it, during the class children must compare and correct their work in class with the teacher and finally after the class they have to check their understanding and extend their learning.

In this video we see how flipped classroom can help teachers with their pupils in class.

The flipped classroom is a good way to improve our classes, motivate children and help pupils with their learning process. It can be positive to make good use of our pupils skills.
